CHAT Impact: From Resident to Staff

Every year, CHAT hosts year long residents and summer interns. Year long residents and summer interns are young adults who engage in up to 50 hours of service every week in one of CHAT's programs. Whether they are with us for a year or a summer, they explore racial reconciliation, poverty, privilege and Church Hill's history, through guest speakers and book study. As we say farewell to this year's interns and residents, we look back on one resident's journey to becoming CHAT staff.

CHAT Impact: From Church Hill Academy to James Madison University

After impressing a panel of 5 interviewers, Church Hill Academy Senior, Ashawrie White, received a full ride to James Madison University as a Centennial Scholar. With Romans 8:18 in her heart, she plans to study sports medicine or business, minor in dance, then eventually start her own dance studio.
